A father and his daughter are listed in stable condition after being struck by a vehicle while riding their bicycles Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Felipe Ortiz, 55, and his daughter Maria Ortiz, 21, both of Woodstock, were struck at 9:33 Sunday while riding along the south edge of the 9700 block of McConnell Road in unincorporated Woodstock, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

The bicyclists were struck by a 2006 Honda Civic driven by Ryan Malo, 30, of the 3000 block of Boerderij Way in Woodstock, who was driving eastbound before the crash, according to authorities.

Felipe and Maria Ortiz were airlifted from the scene by Flight for Life and taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where they are listed in stable condition.

Malo was treated at the scene and released.

Charges are pending until the investigation is complete, according to the sheriff's office.
