• Darin Jordan of Geneva was promoted to Medical Director, Convenient Care at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. A graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago, Jordan and wife, Jeanette, have four children. The Hospital has convenient care centers in Bloomingdale, Wheaton, Bartlett, Naperville, and St. Charles.

• Katherine Bauer of Wheaton, Ashley Hitchcock of Warrenville and Samantha Marusiak of West Chicago all won ribbons for their projects in the Foods and Nutrition division of the Illinois State Fair 4-H Exhibit Division. Bauer won a Superior ribbon in the Breads and Cereals class, Hitchcock won an Award of Excellence ribbon in the Tricks and Treats I class, and Marusiak won an Award of Excellence ribbon in the Tricks and Treats II class.

• Deborah Collum of Carol Stream was appointed to the newly created position of Process Manager with Family Home Health and Family-Centered Hospices in Addison. She will be responsible for accounts receivable functions, and manage company processes, procedures, and daily operations.

• Marge Hall of Winfield won a first-place ribbon in the professional category of the People's Choice Awards during the Fine Arts Fiesta in West Chicago. Hall's work, "White Petunia," was done in oil. Sharon Malec of West Chicago was in second place with her work, "Sierra Cascade," in fiber.

• Steven Edelman of Winfield completed an adventure-based course for 12- and 13-year-old boys that encourages teamwork and compassion with the Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center in Boston. The expedition included hiking, backpacking, and rock climbing, canoeing, sailing, and kayaking.
