A 19-year-old Elgin man was charged with five felony counts of sexual abuse Friday after forcing a 15-year-old girl to have sex with him with a gun to her head, prosecutors say.

Victor J. Campo of the 400 block of Ann Street, faces three counts of felony aggravated sexual abuse, two counts of felony sexual abuse and one county of misdemeanor sexual abuse, prosecutors say.

One Class 2 felony conviction could put him in prison for three to seven years.

In the early hours of Jan. 30, Ocampo raped a 15-year-old girl at her Elgin home, police records say. The girl reported the matter to Elgin police and identified him in a photo lineup the same day, reports said. DNA testing followed.

He was arrested Thursday.

Judge Bruce Lester set his bail at $500,000.

Ocampo, who has two young children, said he was a temporary mechanic before his arrest.

Ocampo is due in court June 16.

He is also charged with burglary, theft and property damage, all felonies, in connection with a Feb. 20 incident, according to Kane County court records. His next court date for that case is June 21.
