The mayors of Mount Prospect and Toledo, Ohio have made a friendly wager on the outcome of tonight's "American Idol," between Lee DeWyze of Mount Prospect and Crystal Bowersox of Toledo.

The finale airs tonight from 7-9 p.m. on Fox.

"The residents and businesses of Mount Prospect have really shown amazing enthusiasm in their support for Lee," said Mount Prospect Mayor Irvana Wilks. "We are all so proud of him. It has been a wonderful experience for our Village."

If Lee wins, Toledo Mayor Michael Bell has pledged a gift basket of Tony Packo's Hungarian Hot Dogs (made famous by the character Max Klinger on the TV series "M*A*S*H").

If Crystal wins, Wilks will send a "Taste of Mount Prospect" gift basket featuring Capannari's Ice Cream, Chicago Style Pizza and "Vote for Lee" cookies made by Central Continental Bakery.

"Lee's success has inspired people of all ages - it feels like all of Mount Prospect has been following "American Idol" this season," Wilks said. "It's been so great to see people all over town wearing their Lee T-shirts - everyone has really rallied behind him."

Mount Prospect's watch party begins at 5 p.m. on the Village Green, at 50 S. Emerson St. "American Idol" will be shown live, as well as clips from DeWyze's season of performances and clips from his Hometown Day on May 14. For details on the party, visit www.mountprospect.org.
