A 45-year-old Palatine woman who police said videotaped a teenager in a washroom and sent the images to a teenage boy she met on Craigslist pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography recently in Rolling Meadows.

In exchange for her guilty plea, Mary Cordes, of the 1900 block of N. Cambridge Court, was sentenced to four years in prison and must register as a sex offender for 10 years following her release, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Mike Andre.

Palatine police arrested Cordes in early November after they found the images on her work computer, where authorities say she intended to edit them after downloading them from a flash drive.

Cordes, who Andre said has no criminal background, faced up to 15 years in prison.
