Palatine police said Tuesday they have arrested a Palatine man and charged him with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse based on allegations that he molested an 8-year-old girl on multiple occasions.

Jose Rincon, 31, of the 1600 block of North Rainbow Bay, was arrested Dec. 4. Bond was set at $100,000 at a hearing Tuesday and his next court date is Jan. 15.

The most recent incident occurred Nov. 25 when Rincon was at an apartment in the 1400 block of N. Ports O'Call Drive, Palatine, police said. There was a gathering of adults in one area of the apartment, and Rincon went into another room, saying he had to check on the children.

After Rincon left, the 8-year-old told her mother that he had touched her inappropriately, which prompted the call to police, reports said.

The girl told police Rincon committed similar acts Nov. 21 at his residence, and also twice between September and December 2007at his residence on the 2100 block of Ginger Circle.

Police arrested Rincon while he was picking up the girl at a school in Palatine.

At the time of his arrest, Rincon was wanted on three outstanding warrants, one for sexual exploitation of a child, and two for traffic offenses. He gave a verbal statement implicating himself in the crimes, police said.
