St. Charles

• A corporate vehicle parked in a residential driveway on the 3100 block of Blackhawk Trail was burglarized Sunday or Monday, police said. A set of golf clubs, a briefcase and a laptop computer were taken from the vehicle, which had been left unlocked.

• Detrick Derrick Perry, 17, of the 100 block of East State Street in South Elgin, was charged Aug. 21 with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, according to a police report. Perry remained in the passenger seat of a vehicle driven by his girlfriend while she went inside to work at a local business. The vehicle belongs to the girlfriend's mother. The keys were left inside the car and Perry drove away with the car without permission from his girlfriend or her mother. Upon driving away, Perry crashed the vehicle to the extent it required towing. Upon learning of the crash, the vehicle owner decided to pursue charges against him.

• A black Nikon D300 camera with a black Tameron lens was reported stolen from a ledge next to the Baker Hotel in St. Charles on Sept. 4, police said. The estimated value of the camera is $2,100.

• Two ATVs and a DeWalt 500 generator were reported stolen from a self storage facility on the 200 block of Randall Road between Aug. 5 and Sept. 5, according to police.

• Sandra Rodriguez, 30, of the 700 block of Forest Street in West Chicago, was charged Sept. 6 with retail theft, according to a police report. Store security at Walmart, 150 Smith Road, observed Rodriguez place several hair care, hygienic items and clothing into her purse and exit the store without paying for them. The value of the stolen items was about $57.

Kane County

• A Samsung television, Wii video game system and Panasonic VCR valued at $925 total were reported stolen Monday from a residence on the 9N900 block of Highbank Court, Plato Township, according to police.
