Bike Network Open House: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, Des Plaines City Hall, council chambers, 1420 Miner St. City of Des Plaines host a Bike Network Open House from 5:30-6:30 p.m. followed by a formal Engineering Committee meeting. The public is invited to view maps of the proposed bicycle network, meet with representatives from the city and the city's consultants on this project, and attend the engineering committee meeting.

Coffee with the Hoffman village board: 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, Village Hall council chambers, 1900 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates. Informal forum designed to provide a relaxed setting where the community can speak with Mayor McLeod and the board of trustees. Residents are invited to express opinions, ask questions and provide input on items of interest in their community.
