A Naperville man is suspected of molesting two children at his wife's home day-care center and a police investigation is continuing to identify other possible victims.

So far, Jose E. Luviano is officially charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a 3-year-old girl. Prosecutors said similar charges involving a second child are anticipated.

Luviano, 43, remained in DuPage County jail Thursday after a judge set his bond at $1 million. Luviano does not have a prior felony record.

His wife, Rebecca, operates the licensed Christian Dollhouse Day Care out of the couple's home at 108 Cedarbrook, on Naperville's far south side. State child welfare officials were not immediately able Thursday to disclose the facility's status, but prosecutors said the center has operated for about a year at the Naperville location.

The 3-year-old girl's parents contacted police after their daughter made an outcry regarding the abuse, authorities said. They said Jose E. Luviano inappropriately touched the girl once within the past month while she attended the home day care.

Authorities said Luviano confessed during a videotaped police interview to molesting the girl, as well as another child at the facility. They said his wife did not have prior knowledge of the abuse and cooperated with the investigation.

A phone message left at the couple's home was not immediately returned Thursday.

"Parents who use day-care services should not have to worry about the welfare and safety of their children while they are away," DuPage State's Attorney Joe Birkett said Thursday in announcing the charges. "This type of behavior will not be tolerated."

Luviano is due in court Aug. 10 for arraignment.

Anyone who used Christian Dollhouse Day Care or who otherwise has information about the home facility is urged to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6726.
