Arlington Heights

• Marcos R. Salazar, 21, of the 0-100 block of East Altgeld, Glendale Heights, was arrested around 10:10 p.m. Feb. 26 at Falcon Drive and Goebbert Road and charged with traffic violations and possession of marijuana between 10 and 30 grams. He also was arrested on a Forest Park warrant for failure to appear on a reckless driving charge. His court date is April 1.

• Salvador F. Flores, 20, of the 300 block of Cedar Avenue, Wood Dale, was arrested around 3:55 p.m. Feb. 28 at Algonquin Road and Kennicott and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is April 1.

Des Plaines

• Vandals spray painted gang graffiti on an apartment building on the 1800 block of Mannheim Road Feb. 27.

• Burglars broke into a 2008 Chrysler sedan in a restaurant lot at 1470 E. Touhy Ave. between 11:50 a.m. and 1:02 p.m. Feb. 27 and stole a laptop computer. Loss was estimated at $800.

• Vandals smashed a passenger's-side door window on a 2005 Chevrolet minivan in a hotel lot at 2930 S. River Road between Feb. 25 and 28. Damage was estimated at $250.

• Vandals smashed the rear window on a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer on the 1700 block of Forest Avenue between 10 p.m. Feb. 27 and 5:50 a.m. Feb. 28. Damage was estimated at $150.

• Vandals scratched anti-semitic graffiti into a stall in a first-floor washroom at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood St., between 11 a.m. Feb. 26 and 11 a.m. Feb. 17. Damage was estimated at $50.

• Vandals cut two driver's-side tires on a 2002 Nissan Frontier truck on the 0-100 block of North Warrington Road between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and 10:30 a.m. Feb. 28. Damage was estimated at $200.

Mount Prospect

• Manuel Lucio, 28, of the 9000 block of Keating Avenue, Skokie, was arrested around 12:45 a.m. Feb. 25 on Golf Road at Radcliffe and charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence and a traffic violation. His court date is March 25

•Vandals smashed four mailboxes on the 1800 block of Boulder Drive and 1800 block of Apache Lane overnight Feb. 25-26. Burglars broke into a 1995 Mercury Marquis on the 1800 block of Apache Lane and stole a digital camera. Loss was estimated at $1,020.

• Thieves cut the lock on a storage unit in an apartment building on the 1500 block of West Dempster Street between Feb. 1 and 25 and stole two computers with monitors and a 27-inch TV. Loss was estimated at $1,200.

• A vandal shot a BB-gun pellet through the outer pane of a double-pane front window at a home on the 200 block of North Fairview Avenue between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24. Damage was estimated at $300.

Prospect Heights

• Vandals slashed two tires on a 1993 Chevrolet Lumina in an apartment lot on the 600 block of Piper Lane between 2 and 4 p.m. Feb. 26. The victim had just replaced two slashed tires Feb. 25.

•Vandals spray painted gang graffiti Feb. 25 and again Feb. 27 on walls and garage doors at a condominium complex on the 900 block of East Old Willow Road.

Rolling Meadows

• Jerry Aranda, 19, of the 7000 block of West Higgins, Chicago, was arrested around 8 p.m. Feb. 26 at Meijer, 1301 Meijer Drive, and charged with retail theft. Reports said he took three bottles of alcohol. His court date is April 9.

• Burglars broke into a 2008 Chrysler Sebring on the 3400 block of Algonquin Road between 12:25 and 6:15 a.m. Feb. 26 and stole a GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $700.

• Burglars entered a home on the 4700 block of Arbor Drive through sliding patio doors between 4:30 and 6 a.m. Feb. 26 and stole two speakers, two cameras and $300.

Wheeling

• Jonathan Saldivar, 19, of the 600 block of South Wayne Place, Wheeling, was arrested around 8:50 p.m. March 1 on Palatine Frontage Road at Wheeling Road and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. His court date is April 8.
