Arlington Heights

• A man, 40-50 years old, broke the glass entry door to the former Mark Motors dealership, 2020 E. Northwest Hwy., around 12:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and entered the building.

• Burglars broke into a 2005 Acura and 2003 Buick Regal in the public parking garage, 22 S. Vail Ave., between 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and 9 a.m. Feb. 26 and stole a GPS unit out of each vehicle. Loss was estimated at $620.

• Burglars broke into a 2009 Honda CFR-V and 2006 Ford Taurus in the public parking garage at 155 E. Eastman between 10 p.m. Feb. 25 and 8 a.m. Feb. 26, ransacked the glove box in the Honda but did not take anything and stole a GPS valued at $150 out of the Ford.

• Burglars broke into a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass and 2009 Toyota Camry in a restaurant lot at 222 E. Algonquin Road between noon and 12:45 p.m. Feb. 26 and stole a purse out of the Cutlass and a GPS unit and laptop out of the Camry. Loss was estimated at $2,800.

• Burglars broke into a 2001 Toyota Celica in Ridge Plaza, 960 W. Dundee Road, between 8 and 10:15 p.m. Feb. 25 and stole a GPS valued at $250.

• William E. Spelz, 49, homeless, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave., and charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after he refused to leave. His court date is April 1.

• Jillian M. Pietrucha, 30, of the 600 block of Timpani Drive, Round Lake, was arrested around 12:50 a.m. Feb. 27 on the 2000 block of Goebbert Road and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a weapon for having a switchblade in her car, driving under the influence, damage to public property and traffic violations. She hit a light pole at Falcon and Tonne drives with her 2002 Dodge Stratus, reports said.

Des Plaines

• Michael S. Wilson, 42, of the 0-100 block of West Walnut, Des Plaines, was arrested around 10:10 p.m. Feb. 26 on the 0-100 block of West Oakton Street and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and city ordinance illegal transportation of open alcohol. His court date is April 2.

• Burglars broke into a 2005 GMC Envoy in a lot on the 2100 block of East Touhy Avenue between 10 p.m. Feb. 25 and 7:20 a.m. Feb. 26 and stole a GPS unit and Palm Pilot for a loss estimated at $650. Burglars also broke into a 2006 GMC Savanna, doing $200 in damage, but it was not immediately clear if anything was missing.

• Burglars broke into a 2005 Toyota Highlander in a hotel lot at 2930 S. River Road between 10 a.m. Feb. 20 and 1 p.m. Feb. 26 and stole a GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $400.

• Burglars broke into a 2006 Nissan Sentra in a business lot at 3158 River Road between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and stole a GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $300.

Hoffman Estates

• Burglars forced open the rear door at a home on the 600 block of Alcoa Lane between 8 a.m. and 3:55 p.m. Feb. 24 and stole a laptop computer valued at $2,000.

•Vandals slashed a tire on a Chevrolet Venture between 6 p.m. Feb. 24 and 6 a.m. Feb. 25 on the 600 block of Alcoa Lane.

• Burglars stole a pair of designer sunglasses valued at $200 out of an unlocked 2000 Acura in a driveway on the 3000 block of Lexington Drive between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 24.

• Vandals cracked the front windshield on a 2006 Toyota coupe in a condominium lot on the 1100 block of Valley Lane between 5:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and 11 a.m. Feb. 25.

Palatine

• Vandals wrote gang graffiti on a concrete structure pole in an underground condominium garage on the 100 block of South Baybrook Drive between Feb. 16 and 19.

• Thieves stole a black jacket, YMCA ID, and keys out of a men's unlocked locker at the YMCA, 1400 W. Northwest Hwy., between 6 and 7:15 p.m. Feb. 26. Value was estimated at $200.

• Thieves stole a wallet valued at $180 out of a shopping cart at Dominick's, 615 E. Dundee Road, between 5:50 and 6:07 p.m. Feb. 16.

• Burglars stole the radio faceplate valued at $160 out of a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant in an apartment lot on the 3600 block of North Bayside Drive between 4:45 p.m. Feb. 24 and 6:50 a.m. Feb. 25.

• Nicholas M. Baffa, 19, of the 0-100 block of East Orchard Lane, Palatine, was arrested Feb. 26 at Cedar and Slade streets and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer saw him staggering in the roadway.

• Andre A. Allen, 28, of the 4200 block of West 21st Street, Chicago, was arrested Feb. 23 after a traffic stop on the 800 block of East Palatine Road and charged with possession of marijuana.

Rolling Meadows

• Thieves stole three DVDs valued at $30 out of a basket on a bicycle parked at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Road, between 4:15 and 4:29 p.m. Feb. 25.

Schaumburg

• Thieves stole a white 2002 Chevrolet Impala with black side pinstripes valued at $6,000 out of a condominium garage on the 1800 block of Hemlock Place between Feb. 14 and 23.

• Thieves stole a red 2005 Chevrolet Equinox valued at $9,000 on the 1800 block of Hemlock Place between Feb. 20 and 23.

• Vandals smashed the front glass door at a gas station on the 100 block of West Schaumburg Road between 6 p.m. Feb. 21 and 6:45 a.m. Feb. 23 but did not get inside. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Wheeling

• Two men stole a 55-gallon metal drum valued at $100 around 11 a.m. Feb. 26 from the driveway at a home on the 100 block of Center Avenue.
