A former volunteer at the Ray Graham Rehabilitation Center in Lombard admitted Tuesday inappropriately touching a mentally disabled woman.

John D. McCain, 63, was sentenced to two years' sex-offender probation and ordered to serve 90 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to committing criminal sexual abuse.

The Downers Grove man also must register as a convicted sex offender.

Prosecutor Liam Brennan said McCain inappropriately touched a 56-year-old woman who has an IQ of about a 7-year-old child last year while teaching her guitar.

"She was unable to give consent," Brennan said.

The abuse came to light after an employee saw McCain kiss the woman. Brennan said he confessed when police confronted him.

DuPage Circuit Judge Blanche Hill Fawell presided over the plea deal. McCain faced probation or up to three years in prison. McCain, of 424 Valley View Drive, does not have a previous criminal record.
