Glendale Heights Parks and Recreation will hold a free Fishing Derby for kids 15 and younger July 26 at Lake Becerra in Heritage Park, 1736 Paul Ave. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the catch-and-release derby begins at 10 a.m.

• Cucina Casale's third annual Angler Outing is July 27. The bus will leave at 4:45 a.m. from Cucina Casale Restaurant, 210 N. Walnut St., Itasca, and travel to Waukegan Harbor for fishing, contests and more. The group will return to Itasca at 12:45 p.m. for an after party with a pig roast, wine tasting and entertainment. The cost is $200 per person for fishing and the party, with an additional $200 per boat tournament fee. The cost is $50 for the after party only.
